All year round, events and activities encourage visitors to discover the museum's collections, exhibitions, castle architecture and environment. Free visits are organised on every first Sunday of the month (except in July and August),  and during the summer, parents are welcome to join their children in workshops where they can spend a pleasant moment doing creative activities related to the current exhibitions.

Ask at the entrance desk for free explanatory leaflets, children's activity booklets and guided visits. Free visits can be organised for groups of ten or more by simply booking in advance.

Finally, Rochechouart Museum puts on regular film projections, conferences and concerts organised both within and outside the museum.

The town of Rochechouart offers a range of hotels, restaurants and parking facilities. Tourist attractions include many signposted walks in the countryside, Medieval parts of town including a spiral-steepled church, and a geology and meteorite museum.

Next event: Opening night of the next exhibition; 2nd July 2010 at 6pm.
